Lungphou Peak Trekking 2024   On the 26th of January 2024, we assembled at Rai Basti, a Lungphou Nepali village, in Kangpokpi district, Manipur ( Northeast India) at around 8:00 in the morning. We took along the 10th grade children, who are so enthusiastic and excited to have this opportunity to go outdoor for trekking. So, from there we started our climb to the hill top towards the west, which is about 2500 meters high. From Rai Basti ,( a Nepali village under Lungphou Village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur) started the climb to the reach the top. It was a steep and challenging climb. We sweat, we rested often drinking up our water bottle. Fortunately, we were able to refilled our bottle as there was a spring on the path in the middle of the jungle. The jungle is rich in natural resources like bamboo, wild vegetables etc.
